High Point Market: Trends that Stole the Show

High Point Market: Trends that Stole the Show
The biannual High Point Market is a Mecca for interior design enthusiasts, overflowing with the latest trends and innovations. Our design team spent days immersed in this furniture wonderland, and they're back brimming with inspiration! Here are five trends our team noticed that we're excited to implement here in our own showrooms!

Small Details, Big Impact: Forget grand gestures – it's the little things that make a big statement now. Think a contrasting stitch on a leather chair, throw pillows with center thirds, or intricate tape along a sofa skirt. These subtle details elevate a space from ordinary to extraordinary, and we are here for it!

Pattern Play Party: Gone are the days of playing it safe! Designers are embracing pattern mixing with gusto. Florals are dancing with stripes, buffalo checks are mingling with block prints – the more playful, the better. Don't be afraid to experiment – the key is to find patterns with a shared color palette or similar scales for a cohesive look.

The Beauty of Duality: A very pervasive theme throughout this spring's High Point Market was a very distinct dichotomy between a masculine and feminine aesthetic embraced in multiple showrooms. Masculine elements our team noticed included menswear plaid fabrics, rich leathers and moody colorways. At the opposite end of the spectrum, several vendors showcased very feminine touches - delicate florals, furniture with skirting and pleats and soft tones. The overall result was a dynamic tension that's both sophisticated and playful.

Feeling is Believing: Texture is having a moment! Fabrics are going beyond just visual appeal, with designers incorporating materials that beg to be touched. Think plush velvets, nubby boucles and woven linens. And, to add to this, layering multiple textures seems to be trending as well. Texture on texture on texture. We can't think of a better way to experience design!

Caning Makes a Comeback: A touch of the natural world echoed indoors is a trend our team can really get behind. Case goods are featuring cane and reed details in lighter wood tones than before, creating a laid-back, yet sophisticated look.

Our team had so much to take in over the four days they were at High Point. The days were packed with visits to showrooms, meetings with some of our favorite vendors and exploring new and exciting brands to bring to our customers. These trends offer just a taste of the incredible design inspiration we found at High Point Market.
